Veteran actor/teacher Lance E. Nichols will be offering an intensive 6 week "Scene Study Workshop" at the La Nuit

Cate Blanchett. Mr. Nichols theatre credits are numerous, having performed in theatres across the U.S. and in
Canada.
This workshop will focus on breaking down a scene, identifying objectives, playing intentions, and staying connected
with your scene partner. You will be required to do some "out of class" homework, so your total commitment to all 6
sessions is mandatory.
Classes will be held on Tuesdays May 13, 20, 27 and June 3, 10, 17 from 6:00pm-10:00pm. Limited to 16 students.
To R.S.V.P. call 1-888-698-0201 and leave your name and contact number or email to lnichol619@earthlink.net.
Workshop fee:$375
A deposit of $200 is needed by May 6 to hold a spot in class. Balance due at first class meeting.
In each class different emotions and passions such as love, joy, anger, and grief will be studied using selected exercises, which will then be put into scenes and monologues chosen by you and by your teacher. This course benefits your auditions, too, since you will feel confident to pull out all the stops when a role calls for high drama.
Covington/Mandeville starts next Tuesday, May 8, 6:30 p.m. Metairie starts Monday, May 21, 6:30 p.m. Denham Springs starts Thursday, May 31, 7 p.m.
For more information or to register for upcoming classes, contact Veleka Gray at (504) 812-3379 or e-mail actorsalliance@earthlink.net to inquire about location and other details for these series.
A weekend workshop featuring these techniques and other craft skills is being planned for Shreveport in the near future.
A weekly workshop is also being considered for young actors in Metairie.
